After this It'd leave the judgment and faith in the hands of the Elder, offering any aid or assistance I can provide in quickly snuffing out the traitors within our ranks. John from birth was trained to be a warrior and to follow in his parents footsteps. His parents would find themselves embroiled in the NCR-Brotherhood conflict. Years of war and conflict engulfing the chapters seeing family fall one by one with each passing operation topside, until the day came that Ops were closed off and nobody but essentials were to leave. John's mother was lost in the war leaving his father to grieve and push the young Squire harder. As time went on Rockfowl would find himself gaining praise among his peers showing himself to be excellent at combat having inherited that sense of pride and duty from his Mother and Father and the Elder taking it upon himself saw his potential being wasted and sending him east along with several other Initiates to reinforce the chapter in the Mojave region who was in need of reinforcement. That means reclaiming dangerous technology from any of those who find themselves obtaining such a thing. Whether that is with or without violence is decided by those who find themselves at the brotherhood's judgement.

His parents took him on what was meant to be a routine patrol, but they would cross paths with a mutant warband and perish in the ensuing chaos, dying to save their beloved son. An event that caused some Brotherhood members to wonder if the BOS should limit couples and family members to fight alongside one another, in the event that their entire lineage or generation be destroyed entirely. Caleb would continue on, being raised by the Brotherhood as a whole. He would grow to live and breathe the goals and missions of the BOS. To collect all knowledge and technology of the Old World and ensuring it does not become lost or misused. The Brotherhood of Steel is a fraternal secret society akin to groups like the Freemasons: a secret society that exists outsides the political structure of the world around them. Gathering the knowledge, wisdom, and technology of the old world and ensuring it remains safe and secure for the new future of mankind. The Brotherhood does not believe in direct intervention as to avoid being relied upon by the general population of the wasteland. They keep outsiders at arms' length. In the eyes of the Brotherhood, they have been made ideologically superior due to the horrors their ancestors saw at the Mariposa Military Base. Through this they became enlightened, and therefore became the only people responsible and wise enough to control and regulate dangerous technology.

Unlike the East Coast chapter(s), the West Coast Brotherhood does not hold any sort of hatred for mutants. While it is true they don't like mutants, the Brotherhood doesn't like **anyone** who is not in the Brotherhood. They treat all outsiders, mutants or otherwise, with the same attitude of elitism and arrogance. While the Brotherhood in the west will seek out and destroy any threat that gets in the way of their mission to secure technology, the West Coast chapter(s) do not go out of their way to target anyone unless they possess some technology the BOS wants.

Who is plotting, who is helping the plot. A scheme like this would have to involve someone close to the Elder, and therefore I would need to know who not to report this to. Whether I come to know this or not, I would report the conspiracy to, ideally, the Elder themselves or at the very least a high ranking faction officer. I despise dishonest treachery and I will not stand for it. The only time I would ever consider deposing an Elder is in the instance of that Elder violating the Codex. All must follow the rules, our leaders especially.

The Brotherhood does not believe in direct intervention as to avoid being relied upon by the general population of the wasteland. They keep outsiders at arms' length. In the eyes of the Brotherhood, they have been made ideologically superior due to the horrors their ancestors saw at the Mariposa Military Base. Through this they became enlightened, and therefore became the only people responsible and wise enough to control and regulate dangerous technology.

Unlike the East Coast chapter(s), the West Coast Brotherhood does not hold any sort of hatred for mutants. While it is true they don't like mutants, the Brotherhood doesn't like **anyone** who is not in the Brotherhood. They treat all outsiders, mutants or otherwise, with the same attitude of elitism and arrogance. While the Brotherhood in the west will seek out and destroy any threat that gets in the way of their mission to secure technology, the West Coast chapter(s) do not go out of their way to target anyone unless they possess some technology the BOS wants.

Who is plotting, who is helping the plot. A scheme like this would have to involve someone close to the Elder, and therefore I would need to know who not to report this to. Whether I come to know this or not, I would report the conspiracy to, ideally, the Elder themselves or at the very least a high ranking faction officer. I despise dishonest treachery and I will not stand for it. The only time I would ever consider deposing an Elder is in the instance of that Elder violating the Codex. All must follow the rules, our leaders especially.

well to be honest I can't say, with someone who has experience in dealing with spies, usurpers, or assassins whatever you wanna call them. It would be best not to say and expose my ways of thwarting those who would do my leader harm. However I will say once I figure out who the traitors are they will surely meet a quick and fateful end.

Their isn't a need for diplomacy if he plans on usurping you. If he is disgruntled with the way you are handling things then he should voice his opinions and we can discuss it as we should.
