Jetastic_
Discord Name: Jetastic#4200Steam-ID: STEAM_0:1:155974862IC-Character Name: Mez IronsideCharacter Backstory: [200 Word Minimum] Growing up in a small settlement plagued by raiders and mutants, Mez's childhood was defined by constant struggle and a relentless drive for survival. His parents, both former members of the Brotherhood of Steel, instilled in him a deep respect for technology, knowledge, and the principles of the Brotherhood. After both his parents were executed by the New California Republic during the battle for Helios One, young Mez was adopted by one of the men of the village. The man's name wasn't known, only being referred to as "Ironside". From an early age, Mez showed exceptional aptitude for mechanics and engineering. He eagerly absorbed any information he could find about pre-war technology, scavenging abandoned ruins and studying salvaged holotapes. Despite the scarcity of resources, Mez managed to assemble a rudimentary workshop, where he spent countless hours tinkering with broken machinery and repurposing scrap into functional devices. As he grew older, Mez's reputation as a skilled mechanic and inventor spread beyond his settlement. It was during one of his expeditions to an old military base that he encountered a patrol from the Brotherhood of Steel. Impressed by his resourcefulness and knowledge, the Brotherhood extended an invitation for Mez to join their ranks. Recognizing the opportunity to further his understanding of advanced technology, Mez eagerly accepted. His initiation into the Brotherhood was rigorous, but Mez's determination and technical expertise proved invaluable to his superiors. He excelled in combat training, becoming proficient in various weapons and armor, but it was his ability to repair and maintain the Brotherhood's power armor that truly set him apart. Mez quickly gained a reputation as the go-to person for any power armor-related issues, earning him the nickname "Metalhead." Mez's loyalty to the Brotherhood was unwavering, and he fully embraced their core tenets: the preservation of technology, the pursuit of knowledge, and the protection of humanity from the dangers of the wasteland. He was known for his disciplined nature and adherence to protocols, earning him the respect of his fellow Brotherhood members. Mez proved himself time and again, accompanying expeditions into treacherous ruins, recovering lost technology, and defending outposts against hostile forces. As a Brotherhood of Steel member, Mez Ironside's journey was defined by his unwavering commitment to the preservation of technology and the protection of humanity. His technical prowess and determination to make a difference set him apart, making him a respected and influential figure within the Brotherhood's ranks. Mez's story serves as a testament to the power of knowledge, resilience, and the impact one individual can have in a world ravaged by chaos. Describe what the Brotherhood of Steel is and means: [200 Word Minimum] The Brotherhood of Steel operates under a strict hierarchy and code of conduct. They maintain a militaristic structure with ranks such as knights, paladins, and elders, each with specific duties and responsibilities. They emphasize discipline, loyalty, and the protection of their own members. This has led to a somewhat isolationist approach, as the Brotherhood often prioritizes its own interests over those of other wasteland inhabitants. The Brotherhood is a necessary force to prevent the misuse of advanced technology, preserving it for a more stable and prosperous future. Ultimately, the Brotherhood of Steel represents a complex blend of military order, technological prowess, and a sense of duty towards protecting and controlling advanced technology in the post-apocalyptic world. What would you do if you saw someone trying to revolt the Elder for personal gain? What would be the first steps to correcting it?: [100 Word Minimum] I would first evaluate the Elder's performance and if he is performing up to Brotherhood standards (In this case, lets say they are). I would first have a civil discussion with the mutineer and ask him to justify his reasonings for revolting. If his reasons are not for the betterment of the Brotherhood or similar, I would rally any remaining loyalists and to take down the outcast group as they are likely to abuse the tech they were given to preserve tech. I will ensure my victory is swift, reclaiming all technology stolen by the outcasts. Personal gain is not the goal of the Brotherhood, the preservation of tech is.Do you understand you cant defect if you are a born in? Roads
Discord Name: Roads#5272Steam-ID: STEAM_0:1:147280115IC-Character Name: Andrew MaxsonCharacter Backstory: [200 Word Minimum] Andrew Maxson was born into the proud lineage of the Maxson family, a name synonymous with leadership and the Brotherhood of Steel. Growing up in the shadow of his ancestors' legacy, Andrew was expected to embody the principles of the Brotherhood from a young age. His father, a high-ranking officer within the Lost Hills bunker, groomed him to one day follow in his footsteps. Raised within the walls of the Brotherhood stronghold, Andrew was immersed in the organization's strict code of conduct and dedication to preserving advanced technology. As he grew older, his resolve to uphold these ideals only strengthened. Andrew believed that the wasteland needed a firm hand and an unyielding force to protect the remnants of civilization from themselves and the horrors that lurked beyond. Joining the Brotherhood of Steel at a relatively young age, Andrew excelled in combat training and displayed a keen strategic mind. His skills quickly earned him recognition, and he rose through the ranks, earning the respect of his fellow Knights and the admiration of his superiors. However, it was his harsh and uncompromising nature that set him apart from his peers. Andrew's unyielding demeanor and unwavering adherence to the Brotherhood's principles drew both praise and criticism. Some viewed him as an exemplar of the organization's core values, while others saw him as a tyrant, ruling with an iron fist. Nevertheless, Andrew's reputation for being harsh but fair became widely known among the ranks of the Lost Hills Brotherhood. As he ascended to the position of Head Knight, Andrew implemented a regime of strict discipline and rigorous training. He pushed his subordinates to their limits, demanding perfection in every aspect of their duties. Failure was met with severe consequences, but success was rewarded with respect and advancement within the ranks. Andrew firmly believed that only through unwavering discipline and the pursuit of absolute excellence could the Brotherhood thrive in the unforgiving wasteland. Despite his uncompromising nature, Andrew remained fair in his decision-making. He meticulously weighed the consequences of his actions, always striving to act in the best interest of the Brotherhood and its mission. He was unafraid to make the tough choices, even if they meant sacrificing short-term gains for the long-term survival of the organization. Andrew's leadership, though divisive, brought the Lost Hills Brotherhood of Steel to new heights of strength and influence. The harshness and cruelty he displayed were tempered by a deep sense of duty and a commitment to the Brotherhood's cause. He was a stern and formidable figure, feared by his enemies and respected by his subordinates. In his eyes, the wasteland required an unwavering force to maintain order and protect the technological marvels that could lead humanity back to its former glory. And Andrew Maxson was determined to be that force, harsh yet fair in his pursuit of a better future. Describe what the Brotherhood of Steel is and means: [200 Word Minimum] The Brotherhood of Steel, in this version, is an organization that believes in the preservation and monopolization of advanced technology. They see themselves as the rightful custodians of knowledge and power, with a strict policy of hoarding technology to prevent its misuse by outsiders. They view the wasteland as a dangerous and unpredictable place, and their primary goal is to establish dominance and control over it. Rather than focusing on the betterment of humanity or helping struggling communities, this version of the Brotherhood of Steel seeks to establish a technological hegemony. They see themselves as the sole authority in the wasteland, imposing their will and enforcing their strict laws upon the people. Their ultimate objective is to consolidate power, expand their influence, and reshape society in their own image. This harsher Brotherhood places little value on diplomacy or cooperation with other factions. They view outsiders as potential threats or competitors, and they are willing to use force to secure their objectives. Any settlements or groups that possess valuable technology are seen as targets for acquisition, by whatever means necessary. The Brotherhood believes that they alone possess the wisdom and discipline required to wield advanced technology responsibly, and all others are deemed unworthy or incapable of handling such power. The rank and file members of the Brotherhood are expected to follow orders without question and show absolute loyalty to the organization's leaders. Failure to meet the stringent standards and expectations set by the Brotherhood results in severe punishment or even expulsion. Any dissent or questioning of their authority is swiftly crushed, reinforcing a culture of fear and obedience. In this harsher vision of the Brotherhood of Steel, their purpose is primarily driven by a thirst for power and control. They believe that by monopolizing technology and enforcing their dominance, they can create a new world order where they alone dictate the rules. While they may pay lip service to the idea of protecting humanity, their true objective is the accumulation of power and the subjugation of anyone who stands in their way. What would you do if you saw someone trying to revolt the Elder for personal gain? What would be the first steps to correcting it?: [100 Word Minimum] As Head Knight, the discovery of a revolt against the Elder would trigger a series of ruthless and calculated actions. With an unwavering commitment to maintaining authority and control within the Brotherhood, the Head Knight would swiftly respond to quell the uprising. First and foremost, I would prioritize the suppression of the revolt through any means necessary. They would employ a combination of fear, intimidation, and punishment to deter further dissent. Rebels and their sympathizers would face harsh consequences, ranging from physical punishment and imprisonment to public executions. Such displays of brutality would serve as a warning to others who might consider challenging the Elders rule. In order to effectively counteract the revolt, the Head Knight would deploy their loyal soldiers to gather crucial intelligence. Through surveillance, informants, and interrogations, they would seek to identify the rebels, their motivations, and their plans. This information-gathering phase would enable the Head Knight and the Elder to assess the scale of the revolt and identify its leaders, allowing for a more targeted and efficient response. In an effort to isolate and undermine the rebels, I would sever their lines of communication and erode their influence within the Brotherhood. By manipulating information and disseminating propaganda, the Head Knight would paint the rebels as traitors and enemies of the Brotherhood. This psychological warfare would not only weaken the resolve of the rebels but also solidify the loyalty of the soldiers under the Head Knight's command. To ensure unwavering allegiance, I would subject their subordinates to loyalty tests and oaths. They would conduct thorough purges and investigations to identify any potential sympathizers or traitors within their ranks. Those suspected of disloyalty would be swiftly dealt with, either through reeducation programs or, if necessary, elimination. This process would serve as a stark reminder to the soldiers of the consequences they would face should they waver in their loyalty. Once armed with the necessary intelligence and with loyal forces at their disposal, I would orchestrate a decisive and overwhelming assault against the rebels. Combining superior training, advanced weaponry, and tactical prowess, the Head Knight would aim to crush the revolt in a swift and brutal manner. The use of calculated force would send a clear message to any remaining dissenters and deter future uprisings. Following the suppression of the revolt, as Head Knight I would solidify their position of power through the consolidation of authority within the Brotherhood. They would tighten control, implementing stricter regulations, curfews, and surveillance measures. This would ensure that any remaining dissent is quickly identified and suppressed, preventing future challenges to their rule. My ultimate objective would be to establish an atmosphere of fear and subordination, solidifying their authority and maintaining control over the Brotherhood of Steel. In conclusion, Head Knight of the Brotherhood of Steel, upon discovering a revolt against the Elder, would unleash a multifaceted response. Through punishment, information gathering, isolation, propaganda, loyalty testing, decisive force, and the consolidation of power, the Head Knight would assert their dominance and maintain their authority within the Brotherhood. Their actions would serve as a brutal reminder of the consequences of challenging their rule, ensuring the continued obedience and subjugation of the Brotherhood's soldiers. From an early age, Rhys displayed an unwavering commitment to the preservation of technology and the eradication of threats to humanity's future. Born to a long lineage of Brotherhood members, he was destined to follow in his ancestors' footsteps. Growing up within the secure confines of Lost Hills, Rhys received an extensive education in combat, technology, and the strict code of conduct upheld by the Brotherhood. His exceptional intellect and natural leadership qualities quickly caught the attention of the Brotherhood's elders, who saw great potential in him. As Rhys matured, he became increasingly drawn to the Mojave Wasteland—a region fraught with chaos, lawlessness, and the constant looming threat of the New California Republic encroaching upon the Brotherhood's territory. He longed to leave the safety of Lost Hills and embark on a mission to uphold the Brotherhood's principles in this volatile and hostile region. Rhys's chance came when he was appointed as the Head Paladin of the Mojave Brotherhood of Steel. With his promotion, he bid farewell to the familiar halls of Lost Hills and has ventured into the unforgiving desert. Under his leadership, the Mojave Brotherhood experiences a renaissance, becoming a beacon of hope and technological prowess. Describe what the Brotherhood of Steel is and means: [200 Word Minimum] The Brotherhood of Steel is a technologically-focused paramilitary organization that originated from the remnants of the United States military and scientific community. Founded on the principles of preserving and safeguarding advanced technology, the Brotherhood considers itself the guardians of humanity's future. Their core philosophy revolves around preservation of technology, adherence to a strict codex, and protection against abominations. The Brotherhood of Steel stands as a formidable force, driven by the belief that advanced technology, when safeguarded and used responsibly, can guide humanity toward a brighter future. They see themselves as the guardians of progress, striving to protect humanity from its own self-destructive tendencies and the dangers that lurk in the wasteland. The Brotherhood of Steel operates in a hierarchical structure with ranks such as Initiate, Knight, Paladin, and Elder. Initiates undergo rigorous training and indoctrination before progressing through the ranks. Knights are responsible for combat and operational duties, while Paladins serve as the elite warriors and leaders of the organization. Elders are the highest-ranking members and hold the ultimate authority, making critical decisions for the Brotherhood. While the Brotherhood's intentions are noble, their uncompromising stance on technology preservation can sometimes lead to conflicts and strained relationships with other factions. Their zeal for securing technology has earned them a reputation for being secretive, territorial, and resistant to sharing their knowledge with outsiders. What would you do if you saw someone trying to revolt the Elder for personal gain? What would be the first steps to correcting it?: [100 Word Minimum] Take the proper precautions against the mutineer and contact the Elder to see what actions we should take going forward in the process of dealing with this dangerous person and whoever they might infect with their toxics words towards the Chapter. I would then make sure to alert the correct Paladins to the situation and have it set up so they are tricked into being captured and properly detained and punished via the Codex and the Chains that Bind. Lost Hills will decide their fate and the situation will be firmly out of our problem. As long as the issue stops at the root, our Chapter is safe. Describe what the Brotherhood of Steel is and means: [200 Word Minimum] The Brotherhood of Steel is a technologically advanced and militaristic organization that emerged from the ashes of the pre-war United States. Founded on the principles of preserving and controlling advanced technology, the Brotherhood seeks to safeguard humanity's future by preventing the misuse of scientific knowledge that led to the devastation of the Great War. Their formidable power armor-clad soldiers, armed with energy weapons and backed by their vast knowledge of engineering and science, are known for their unwavering dedication and unmatched combat prowess. Central to the Brotherhood's philosophy is the belief that technology must be controlled and regulated, to prevent its destructive potential from falling into the wrong hands. They view themselves as the custodians of civilization, responsible for safeguarding humanity's progress and ensuring its survival. The Brotherhood's militaristic nature often brings them into conflict with other factions, especially those who they perceive as misusing or endangering advanced technology. However, their actions are driven by a sense of duty rather than a thirst for power. To be a member of the Brotherhood of Steel means upholding the organization's core values: the preservation of knowledge, the protection of humanity, and the relentless pursuit of technological advancement. It means standing against those who would abuse or exploit technology for selfish or destructive purposes, and dedicating one's life to the Brotherhood's noble cause of securing a better future for humanity. What would you do if you saw someone trying to revolt the Elder for personal gain? What would be the first steps to correcting it?: [100 Word Minimum]As a Sentinel of the Brotherhood of Steel, my duty would be to uphold the organization's values and protect its leadership. If I witnessed someone attempting to revolt against the Elder for personal gain, I would take immediate action. Firstly, I would gather evidence to substantiate the claims and ensure a clear understanding of the situation. Then, I would confront the individual, questioning their motives and attempting to resolve the issue diplomatically. Simultaneously, I would inform the Elder and other high-ranking officials, providing them with all the gathered evidence. They would determine the appropriate course of action, which might involve disciplinary measures, investigation, or even expulsion if necessary, all in the interest of preserving the stability and integrity of the Brotherhood.Do you understand you cant defect if you are a born in? He witnessed the tireless dedication of the Knights and Paladins, and the collective knowledge stored within the bunker's vast archives became his playground. David's path within the Brotherhood led him to become an Initiate. It was expected of him to follow the proud tradition, Evermore required of him with the heavy cost the NCR-Brotherhood war had placed on their chapter, with many suits of power armor left empty in their armory. The Elder, on the other hand, saw the interest and expertise the young man had in tinkering with terminals or laser pistols the Paladins brought in during their trek through the wastes. Refusing to let such talents go to waste the Elder was able through long negotiations with his parents able to convince them that a career through the scribes was the best route for the young man... Here is where Liam claims he was the happiest than he ever was in his Knighthood training, excelling in his classes and tasks, his colleagues believing a place within the upper echelons of the chapter was all but guaranteed Unfortunately for the young man. His place of home was assaulted by a large platoon of NCR forces, outnumbering them by a factor of 10 to 1. The Mojave ChapterDescribe what the Brotherhood of Steel is and means: [200 Word Minimum] The Brotherhood of Steel is one of the oldest documented factions to arise from the Great War, their founding members being made up of high-ranking US Military Officers who were stationed out of a classified military installation known as Mariposa. Birthplace of a highly experimental strain known as the Forced Evolutionary Virus. The captain stationed there, Robert Maxson, saw the horrors committed by the scientists stationed there and led a mutiny on the eve of the Great War, unaware that the world had torn itself apart. Waiting out the fallout in Mariposa they decided to abandon the installation and move south towards a series of Bunkers known as Lost Hills. It is here where the Brotherhood now consolidates its power as its main base of operations. Shown the horrors of science run amuck from the Great War and the FEV they have sworn an oath to keep dangerous technology out of those who would abuse or not understand the dangerous ramifications of such devices. With hopes of safeguarding the future of humanity from the horrors of a bygone generation, the Brotherhood has sent out many expeditions, commonly referred to as chapters across the United States in order to uphold their mission statement. What would you do if you saw someone trying to revolt the Elder for personal gain? During their evacuation both his parents along with the Elder lost their lives setting off the self-destruct built into the Bunker. Following the remaining members of their chapter they fell in with the closest Chapter. What would be the first steps to correcting it?: [100 Word Minimum] A revolt against the Elder is a revolt against the core beliefs of the Brotherhood themselves. If I was unable to convince the traitor of the errors of their ways I would have no choice but to gather evidence such as who is part of the mutiny and are their outside forces influencing or even supporting these traitors to present to the elders themselves. After this It'd leave the judgment and faith in the hands of the Elder, offering any aid or assistance I can provide in quickly snuffing out the traitors within our ranks. John from birth was trained to be a warrior and to follow in his parents footsteps. His parents would find themselves embroiled in the NCR-Brotherhood conflict. Years of war and conflict engulfing the chapters seeing family fall one by one with each passing operation topside, until the day came that Ops were closed off and nobody but essentials were to leave. As time went on Rockfowl would find himself gaining praise among his peers showing himself to be excellent at combat having inherited that sense of pride and duty from his Mother and Father and the Elder taking it upon himself saw his potential being wasted and sending him east along with several other Initiates to reinforce the chapter in the Mojave region who was in need of reinforcement. Hardrada
Discord Name: Hardrada#4446 Steam-ID: STEAM_0:1:240709220 IC-Character Name: Caleb Barker Character Backstory: [200 Word Minimum] Caleb was born in Lost Hills, and was sent into the region as part of the original expedition. He was the son of two Paladins, and faced his first real loss shortly before he began his time as an Initiate. His parents took him on what was meant to be a routine patrol, but they would cross paths with a mutant warband and perish in the ensuing chaos, dying to save their beloved son. An event that caused some Brotherhood members to wonder if the BOS should limit couples and family members to fight alongside one another, in the event that their entire lineage or generation be destroyed entirely. Caleb would continue on, being raised by the Brotherhood as a whole. He would grow to live and breathe the goals and missions of the BOS. To collect all knowledge and technology of the Old World and ensuring it does not become lost or misused. He knows no other life besides one of utter dedication to the Brotherhood and its Codex, reading the ancient lore at face value and refusing to compromise on any of the principle presented within it. Caleb wishes to be a Paladin like his parents before him, and to carry on their legacy, and to live all the days they left him behind to the fullest in the name and honor of the Brotherhood of Steel. Describe what the Brotherhood of Steel is and means: [200 Word Minimum] The Brotherhood of Steel is a fraternal secret society akin to groups like the Freemasons: a secret society that exists outsides the political structure of the world around them. Gathering the knowledge, wisdom, and technology of the old world and ensuring it remains safe and secure for the new future of mankind. The Brotherhood does not believe in direct intervention as to avoid being relied upon by the general population of the wasteland. They keep outsiders at arms' length. In the eyes of the Brotherhood, they have been made ideologically superior due to the horrors their ancestors saw at the Mariposa Military Base. Through this they became enlightened, and therefore became the only people responsible and wise enough to control and regulate dangerous technology. Unlike the East Coast chapter(s), the West Coast Brotherhood does not hold any sort of hatred for mutants. While it is true they don't like mutants, the Brotherhood doesn't like **anyone** who is not in the Brotherhood. They treat all outsiders, mutants or otherwise, with the same attitude of elitism and arrogance. While the Brotherhood in the west will seek out and destroy any threat that gets in the way of their mission to secure technology, the West Coast chapter(s) do not go out of their way to target anyone unless they possess some technology the BOS wants. What would you do if you saw someone trying to revolt the Elder for personal gain? What would be the first steps to correcting it?: [100 Word Minimum]I would gather all information I can. Who is plotting, who is helping the plot. A scheme like this would have to involve someone close to the Elder, and therefore I would need to know who not to report this to. Whether I come to know this or not, I would report the conspiracy to, ideally, the Elder themselves or at the very least a high ranking faction officer. I despise dishonest treachery and I will not stand for it. The only time I would ever consider deposing an Elder is in the instance of that Elder violating the Codex. It would be best not to say and expose my ways of thwarting those who would do my leader harm. However I will say once I figure out who the traitors are they will surely meet a quick and fateful end. Their isn't a need for diplomacy if he plans on usurping you.
